What is the Online Circle?

The Online Legacy Circle is a virtual community designed for Black junior golfers who do not have a local Legacy Circle in their area — but still want identity, connection, and belonging in the sport.

This space allows young golfers from across the country to build friendships, learn the history of Black golf, and engage in meaningful conversations that strengthen confidence and cultural pride.

The Online Circle ensures that no child is left out simply because of location.

Who It’s For?

Black junior golfers ages 7–16

  1. Kids who already play golf

  2. Families located in areas without a local circle

  3. Juniors who desire community, mentorship, and cultural connection

Why Family Choose the Online Circle

Because for many kids:

  • They are the only Black golfer at their course.

  • They never see other golfers who look like them.

  • They have no cultural support in the sport.

  • They crave community but can’t find it locally.

The Online Circle ensures they still have connection, identity support, and a sense of belonging — no matter where they live.

How the Online Circle Work

Monthly Online Meetups (6 Per Year)

These sessions are just for online participants and include:

  • Legacy Moments

  • Identity & confidence conversations

  • Group sharing

  • Guided reflection

  • Virtual activities connected to golf and life

Each meetup lasts 45–60 minutes and is intentionally designed for virtual attention spans.

Quarterly All-Circle Gatherings (4 Per Year)

Every three months, the entire Legacy Circle family — online participants and all local circles — meet together in a large virtual community celebration.

These gatherings include:

  • Guest speakers

  • Black golf history highlights

  • National shoutouts and celebrations

  • Moments of reflection

  • A strong feeling of belonging to something big

This is where kids realize the movement is bigger than just their city.
